Senggigi, Lombok

Lombok is the island just east of Bali in Indonesia.  I went during low season for tourists, and I was luckily one of the only foreigners around.  The sunset on the beach is the best I’ve ever seen (and I’ve witnessed a lot of beach sunsets).  The locals were super friendly, and I had a lot of people “adopt” me and show me around.  Most of these photos are from the monkey forest we went to, where we got to be around a whole bunch of wild monkeys up close.  It was such an awesome experience :)

  • Great photos, great story, great travel. Keep on posting!!! I love your works!

  • I’ve always wanted to go to Lombok. I hear great things about it and your experience there sounds awesome. I’m going to have to plan a trip there once we get situated in Indonesia this next year. Any place in particular you recommend there? I’m a photographer so want to get some spectacular landscapes.

Definitely! I think that Senggigi has one of the most beautiful sunsets I´ve seen. Let me know once you arrive I can recommend a few people to talk to :)
