Lombok is the island just east of Bali in Indonesia. I went during low season for tourists, and I was luckily one of the only foreigners around. The sunset on the beach is the best I’ve ever seen (and I’ve witnessed a lot of beach sunsets). The locals were super friendly, and I had a lot of people “adopt” me and show me around. Most of these photos are from the monkey forest we went to, where we got to be around a whole bunch of wild monkeys up close. It was such an awesome experience :)
- view of Gunung Agung from Lombok… most beautiful sunset ever
- get a room ;)

- driving towards the boat launch to Gili Trawangan
- don’t you love their cute little mohawks?
- me feeding a monkey in the mokey forest… he was so gentle
- my friend Doug and an expat’s nephew feeding the monkeys
- look at the baby!
