Mexico has become an acquaintance to me. Sure, I appreciate its good qualities (and there are many). But it’s not love. It’s not my BFF. I won’t fantasize about it after I leave.
Within walking distance of my apartment sits Chapultepec Castle, former home of royals Maximilian I and Empress Carlota.
I recently realized that I’ve been in Mexico City for a few weeks now and haven’t showed you guys where I live… so here’s a video!
Since I’m in a country where Thanksgiving isn’t traditionally celebrated, I can focus on the true spirit of the holiday – giving thanks.
I’ll have to visit this museum at least twice more to see everything. Hopefully next time I can absorb more than the god with the unfortunate grill and the ginormous phallus.
