These are a few things I’m excited about this year! What are you working towards in 2012?

Alebrijes, blue-footed boobies, and leatherback turtles are just some of my 2011 travel highlights.

This project was too large for me to take on alone, even though this guide contains just 21 words and phrases, so I enlisted the help of my 14-year-old cousin whose Facebook status updates make me go “Wtf?” – or should I say, “What the ass?”

My initial fears were many: the left-hand driving and the utter lack of road signage were a bit nerve wracking. Add a speed limit that seems to be a mere suggestion rather than a hard-fastened rule and the fact that someone dies via traffic accident every two days, not to mention the fact that I hadn’t driven in almost a year and a half…
