One of the main ways I’m focusing on earning money while traveling is through travel writing. I recently finished the MatadorU travel writing course, which has helped me land a number of paying gigs. Niche Sites

My first adventure into building a niche site has been a success. I’m now working on several projects right now with the aim of creating enough passive income to be able to travel without being stuck behind a computer all the time.

Market Samurai is an amazing software program that makes any niche site creator’s job a million times easier. With the software, you can find keywords in your niche that are low competition and able to be monetized, check where your website ranks with your competitors, and even see where your competition’s links are coming from. They offer a free trial, so you can test it out before you buy it.

Freelance Work

In the beginning, I also obtained work through oDesk, a marketplace for freelancers. I bid on certain assignments, and if my skills and wage requirements match the buyer’s needs, then I get hired.
